This book became much easier to read about halfway through when I realized that the title was an overly specific and dramatic indication of the content. Instead, the title should be " postulations on the early colonization and inhabitation of Britain deduced from local and foreign folklore and linguistic Clues " . I am highly enjoying it in this context.
