Status Updates From The Spirit of the Disciplin...

Dallas Willard coming with the grounding:

Service to others in the spirit of Jesus allows us the freedom of a humility that carries no burden of “appearance.” It lets us be what we are—simply a particularly lively piece of clay who, as servant of God, happens to be here now with the ability to do this good and needful thing for that other bit of clay there.

"The cautious faith that *never* saws off the limb on which it is sitting never learns that unattached limbs may find strange, unaccountable ways of not falling."

Chapter 9. Finally getting to a list of spiritual disciplines. I love Dallas Willard and his writing, but if I were his editor I'd have advised him to put the list in the first chapter just to...you know...get people hooked on what you'll be talking about in chapters 1 through 8.
