It’s so interesting reading writing from 40+ years ago because there is so much new research that both challenges and supports what we knew then. I have just kept thinking of modern theologians, politicians and scholars who would disagree with parts of this argument while fully supporting others. Interesting!

I moved into an urban monastic community last week, and I am learning so much about spiritual discipline. Thurmans chapter one on Commitment has been hitting me juuuuust right.
