I’m very ready to be done with this book. It’s not good. The theology is wild and well, don’t read it.

Really trying with this book. I knew I’d probably disagree with some of it. But I just can’t understand why some people feel like God only works in these big bodacious ways. Can He? Yes. Does He? Yes. But He also is the small still whisper. Sometimes we seem to forget that. Anyway. I’ll finish it but I probably won’t recommend it

The omnipresence of God vs the manifest presence of God. Omnipresence of God - "God is everywhere, all the time." Manifest presence of God - "God is right *here*, right *now*. It's a concentration of the very essence of His being." Let's go get it.

God is saying to me, "I'm not asking you how much you know *about* Me, I want to ask you, 'Do you really *know*Me? Do you really *want* Me?'"

In chasing God I am pursuing Him as my chief aim and very reason for being. It's like a game of tag, I want to chase God until I catch Him … and then not let go.
