gosh this is a slog

I'm struggling with this right now - it's so vivid and descriptive, but foreign and weirdly interrelated - it's like I imagine the experience of synesthesia. I'm probably going to put this down for the time being and try again later. Argh, stress.

That fact that mieville is able to discuss Marxism in a book about alien Hosts is still mind boggling. I’m not a sci-fi reader but man this is crazy awesome.
