Status Updates From The Minstrel's Tale

This is the end. I really wish the character plot from the beginning was carried out more before The Minstrel story started, and it finished out at the end but we don't really see who Anna is she's a very bland character she takes the book with the minstel story and hides it with a different book sleeve and keeps it in her room after her dad wanted to take it to a museum. There are more books let's see if I read them

Amos and Richard's story was now over Richard had his coronation he was now king as the older king had passed away peacefully in his sleep.Amos would now take some time to rest from this journey he's been on with Richard.

There was a threat at the palace. You could see this coming in this chapter. The gardener that was sneaking around was the threat to Richard he did want to kill Richard. The guards caught him, and he was placed under arrest as John then ran him through with his sword.

Just when you think Amos would be leaving, he remains for a bit longer enough to pull himself into the palace intrigue. He had a feeling something was going to hurt Richard, and someone that came to the palace when Richard returned may be plotting to do harm to Richard. The Queen wanted Amos to go along with what he was planning on doing that day they were going to catch something in the act if this was true...

Richard was still being watched Amos was spending a little more time at the palace and Amos got to send the message to the monk in the church that he was supposed to talk to about the Illuminated Manuscript book that was stolen from him. He now knew about it, that was all.

The last tale Amos tells in this book. I'm not sure I even enjoyed it. I feel it was a little weak it reminded me of a magical school without the magic and teaching little dragons to fly. Then, all of a sudden, there is an attack to try to take out one of the dragon leaders it didn't make sense, and he gets away, and the story just ends... it really wasn't that thought out. I expected more from this tale...

Richard is finally home, and a grand dinner is held in celebration of his return home to the palace. The queen mother to Richard thanks Amos for taking care of him all that time and being his friend. He carries on in the feast, and he is about to tell another tale for the king...

They finally made it onto English soil after a long time stranded on an island and traveled on their new boat. They all got cleaned up, had a meal, and had a place to stay. The people Richard was eager to see thought he was dead he surprised them. His mother always knew he would return one day as he had. He was now home and had a big dinner with everyone.

Not one of the best tales Amos has told so far. It's about a monk and the tales he tells one that comes to pass and a book they find with riddles of dates in it they figured out and saved a whole library from burning not the best one but you see everything coming as it was meant to be told.

Richard had seemed very upset at the decisions he had made to stay on the island and now people were getting hurt. His advisor had talked to him because he didn't want to be the leader anymore, but he convinced him he was still fit to be a leader and that he would help him when he needed to. They also find out the boar had little piglets left behind, so they are taking care of them.

That was a little wild ride trying to chase the boar and kill it so they could eat. You can literally see it in your mind as it was happening. The cut to the cook's leg after the boar went after him when they were trying to corner it... ouch and the dog as well. It reminded me of the scene in Pirates 1 of Jack Sparrow being left on the island alone.

The boat was coming along. They were making plates and utensils to use when they ate, and they all got along and were happy. They made use of everything around them to make things easier for themselves...

It was now time to plan to get off the island until a boat passed them. They now knew who Richard was and they respected him. Until then, they would wait out the winter build their boat and be on alert if anyone came near the island. This was the plan until then.

The revealing of who Richard really is because Amos now trusted the men he had been on this island with...

Out on the open sea, they were tricked it was a crew of pirates who over took their ship and left them a small boat. None of the crew was harded or overthrown off the side of the boat. The whole crew managed to fit in as well as Amos and Richard. They managed to find land, and that's where they are now...

That's one of the longest stories Amos has told so far about 3 sisters wanting to live together until they realized they wanted to marry and have children but didn't want to leave eachother they wanted to live altogether. They wanted to find 3 brothers who were not married yet and ended up finding 3 princes. It cost them to be painted, but it was the only way to meet the queen to meet her 3 sons to marry them.

Finally I get through this chapter. I feel like this could have been 2 chapters. The beginning story the gypsy woman tells is creepy, but it sounds more of a tale with the woman in the story taking in kids because she could never have any was creepy. The next part is Amos and Richard making their travels by boat it was time to leave the land they have been in, and they had to leave the donkey behind.

A short chapter where Richard and the dog get taken because someone recognizes him from the drawing on a poster they had up in the town, though Richard died his hair black. Amos was able to find them and rescue them before the men came back. Richard agreed to stay with Amos so he is able to know who is around Richard because he actually cares for the boy...

Ok, now that was kinda creepy, another story from Amos. How the undead came back to life and how they all had seemed to come out of their graves on a creepy All Hollows Eve Night they came into the church where all the people in town were hiding out and staying. The towns people ended up burning the church down to protect themselves, but in the morning there was no evidence to be found that it even happened...

Always have a place to stay at the Inn she would make it happen...

Amos tells the story of a donkey that was getting old and not really moving anymore. The wizard in the story brings it back to life, and the man in the story is so happy that after this happens, he also marries a woman he likes. Much like Amos in the story falls for a woman at the Inn but doesn't marry her because it was now time for Amos and Richard to leave. As they start to leave, the woman reminds Amos they will

I thought it was just me with this chapter it was so slow nothing much happens with Amos and Richard all that happens is they are getting settled into an inn for the night with their animals as well before Amos' performance for the night.

Another short chapter Amos is realizing how sheltered Richard has been all his life he now feels its his job to help him learn the things that he knows how to do with hunting and sewing and other things he can learn along the way, like using a sling. They soon meet a dog along the way they name bandit and make her their hunting pet as she helped in bringing out the animals from the bushes of the forests they walk...

That for sure was the shortest chapter in the book it was kinda funny trying wizards weed for the first time Richard thinks he's being poisoned as he freaks out. Amos thought he would have a different reaction than that...

Just when they reached the border, they were stopped to check their belongings, and the guard took the book, Amos was supposed to get to London. Now Amos wasn't so much concerned about the book as their safety. Amos was noticed as a minstrel and was asked to tell a story that was more like a rhyming short story about a man named Will and his donkey on a magical quest to find a magical seed to sow. Now they were safe.

A story Amos tells to the children a bee colony and how one little bee saves them from creating a war with humming birds. The lesson I took from this story is that it takes just one person to make a difference in the world whatever world they live in. The colony came together with the birds and stopped a war before it was ever fought. It had all been a misunderstanding, so they came together instead in celebration...

Now, this is interesting. The shortest chapter so far about them traveling to a chapel to make a stop and do a favor from a monk to get his illuminated manuscript from Florence to St. Paul's Cathedral in London. I liked the description of it you could see it like you were there...

This chapter was a little confusing it seems it's transitioning to the next part of the book Richard's History as a Prince, his real name Richard Plantagenet of Bordeaux. It gives a history on him and how he would come to be a Prince. How back then he would study and how he had 2 whipping boys he hated to see them punished for his doings. How he was always in clean clothes and now he was in dirty clothes...
