Status Updates From Frozen (Cold Awakening, #1)

crazy how much more tolerable an angsty ya novel becomes when you're not listening to the audiobook version wherein an adult puts on their "cool hip teen girl" voice and goes at the narration with a seemingly single-minded intensity to make you hate an actual child

Really enjoying it. She has some flaws, but that's a good thing. The world is super interesting. So far curious where the story is going, and currently looking forward to the next one.

Oh and I wonder if what The Major went through was in any way similar.

I don’t think I can take much more of this. I'm trying to be empathetic bc she's lost her whole world, but she expects everything to be the same with everyone else, but she herself doesn't feel the same about anything. And her BF is amazing that he is still trying with her and she treats him like shit.

Started off very interesting. Now she's returning to her old life and her crappy friends keep blowing her off and it's so cringe. I wish things would move along already.
