Is this one of the most romantic stories I've ever read?? Maybe.

Honestly this dynamic is sooooo not for me. Having to hide their relationship and leave it undefined this far into the book is such a turn off, even if I enjoy the interactions and scenes.

I feel like the vibes of this book just aren't for me, so hopefully I finish it soon. It's not a bad book, just really not my style.

This book had me tearing up by page 87. I am so in love with Skylar and West. 😭 The tension between them is amazing but the kindness and respect is so perfect, too.

This is everything I love about cowboy romances.

It takes place at a school called "Verenmore" (referencing Edgar Allan Poe's Nevermore), and the protag is named Corvina. Lord have mercy. We've already had multiple descriptions of her alternative appearance. I am buckling in for the most "My Immortal" read of my life.

Is the last quarter of this book going to be a courtroom drama? Because CJ is about to murder a man 😂

Really interesting analysis of Nubian and Egyptian tattoos and motifs. I enjoyed reading about how theories have changed and developed as we learn more.

It's reminding me a bit of Nettle & Bone in a good way.

I'm not into the billionaire trope but the rest of this sounds good :)

Sanderson's over-explanation of characters' thoughts gets a little tiresome, but overall the story is enjoyable.

I am so excited I could throw up.

Orka is just such an awesome character

I got an ARC for The Fury of the Gods. It's not enough for me to read chapter summaries to get caught up, I need to feel like I'm in the thick of it again. It's been a few years, but I still remember these scenes so clearly. I am so, so excited for this reread. These are some of my favorite novels ever, and Orka is one of my favorite characters ever.

ohmygod, this relationship is so toxic, I wish they would communicate better. the whole thing is so unfair to Charlotte, and it kinda ruins the sexiness of the spicey scenes because I just keep thinking Emerson is so bloody selfish! he knows how inexperienced she is, and it just stops mattering? I'm not DNFing and elements of this are really enjoyable but it's giving me flashbacks to my own mistakes lol.
