Just starting this book. I appreciate this author’s writing; it’s “pulling “ me into this story.

Incredible story! Some of this is the author becoming very philosophical which is understandable. I read the original story released years ago after the survivors were found.

Interesting so far. The setting is the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The characters in the book are well developed and quite interesting. Sometimes, the flashback or remembering previous years is being used at times and it seems to mesh easily with the present day. I’ve really only started it. But I hope it gives you all an idea without giving the story away.

Chapter 26 -reading presently. For me it’s been a been a bit slow, but I have other distractions right now.

Finished up Chapter 11.

Just started the book. I've become engrossed by this story! I didn't think I would. Surprise, surprise!

In the midst of Chapter 10 right now. I watched his show when it was on & a few episodes of American Detective. Like any true crime tv, I have to stop after awhile and take a break. Lt. Kenda holds nothing back when describing his cases during his career with the Colorado Springs PD. On his show, despite having many closed cases, he explains that he carries them with him, especially in dreams.

Different from any I’ve read as far as the writing style. The descriptions of the scenes, the animals and the people are pretty detailed, almost feeling like you’re there.

I'm an extremely sensitive person. I cry very easily. This is such a raw story and not a quick read for me. I've had to put the book down for a bit. But these women are so incredible what they go through. I think completing this book honors the stories of these women. There are many that don't know very much about the holocaust. Like 9/11, we can never forget this events happened.

Crazy story that’s keeping me glued to it!

This book is brilliant! But I paused reading it because I'm waiting for the author to release the sequel. I was hoping she would have released it by now. I don't like to wait too long in between books.

Love this story and looking forward to the next book! I don't want the story to end....but, many of us know how this will end. 😢
