Honestly I’m enjoying this book so far, however it’s too slow of a start to a SIXTEEN book series at this moment. Will come back to it once I’ve finished some other series Ive had on the back burner

Don’t get the hype with this one, which at almost a quarter through probably means it’s not for me. Prose is obnoxious, Addie isn’t very interesting, and NOTHING IS HAPPENING. ‘Slow-burn’ still means something is burning at least - here entire chapters just reiterate the same point of how painful it is to be forgotten. Also the switch from past to present is too constant, annoying and jarring. DNF

Holy hell this book is dragging

I read this for like 20 minutes before finding out the author is a pedophile that was arrested 1 (ONE!) week ago. If I had a dollar for every author from my childhood that turned out to be a pedo I’d have 2 dollars ( it’s Minecraft YouTubers all over again lol). Anyways fuck this book hope this guy rots away
