I don't know why Goodreads mistakenly putting this book as the fifth book of the series when its #0.5, anyways I'm glad that i'm back to this series I just hope it isn't disappointing :)

This was my friend's pick and it has been a while since I did any buddy read so I'm excited to share my thoughts with her. So far the book is keeping me alert and on edge, it's paced well through these 52 pages and I'm trying to keep track as much as possible on my Kindle.

Because this book is large, it's filling me with so much anxiety over my beloved characters. Luckily, the amazing Leigh is putting small recap points here and there reminding me of all the things that has happened in the previous books as a whole. So with the current situation I'm Ravaka, I don't see how this could be untangled?? There are a lot of open points that I don't know how will be treated.

How come you'll paint someone as a capable person who wants to break the stereotype and achieve something that wasn't done by a woman before and manage to show her as such an incapable and annoying character?

So Audrey Rose: doesn't know how to deduce facts from a person, doesn't know how to examine a corpse, doesn't know how to act or interact in social situations, doesn't know how to say a simple apology for a mistake, doesn't know how to handle herself around a corpse after her brother's death and she is shown as a fmc who could carry herself??? I feel disappointed.

I don't like it... I'm considering to dnf but I'll try to reach the middle of the book before making up my mind.
