Was going to save this for winter, but it was the first book I saw after realising the book I'd started reading was yet ANOTHER involving dead/dying/almost dead partners so here we are. At a minimum, I'm almost certain this one won't send me spiralling into "what if" scenarios where I'm alone, homeless, and unemployable

Sending this back to the TBR pile because, while it's gotten more readable in the last little bit, I am bored af and can't bring myself to suffer through the remaining 2/3.

I am actually not a fan of When Harry Met Sally (I know, I know), but I loved the first book in this series and Jackson was fun even as a background character so we'll see. I don't actually like Sleepless in Seattle as a romance either (they don't even meet until basically the end, wtf) but that didn't stop me from enjoying First Time Caller

I realise this is a classic and it's objectively well written, but holy shit I am bored out of my god damned mind

This is the dumbest curse ever. The most obvious reading of it should have made every man in Lachlan's family falling over themselves to make nice with the McKay family

Still repetitive, written for a wildly different target audience (military cosplay guys, I'd guess), and I've rolled my eyes enough to give myself a migraine, but here I am. Still reading. This is what happens when I run out of interesting before-bed books and am bored of my Emotional Support Fan Fiction.

Grabbed this because it was two bucks and had a reasonable premise. So far it's been annoyingly repetitive. Hoping that stops because I hate when people insist on making books that could've been pamphlets.

Want to read Revenge of the Tipping Point, but realised it's been over a decade since I've read The Tipping Point. Most of what I remember is actually from Outliers. (Basically Gladwell and I can read the exact same data and come to two wildly different conclusions XD)

Loaded this up while I was trying to fall asleep last night and, wow, I may not make it bast the intro. Holy Slavery Apologism, Batman.

The issue with me and this book is that I took being homeless over continuing to deal with my abusive family when I was 20 years old. Alexis refusing to nope out despite being a highly qualified surgeon is just unfathomable to me. Who cares if you'd be ending a 125 year legacy? It's not worth it.

This is the one Abby Jimenez book in this series I haven't re-read. I appreciated what she was trying to do, but just found Alexis impossible to cheer for. Waved to give it another shot to see if I just wasn't ready for it or if I really do just not like it.

Have gotten to the first hellishly awkward bit though and...yeah, I may not be able to do this XD

This book is gaslighting me into wondering if I'm asexual. Y'all. You LIVE together. You have a dog together. You co-signed a loan together. What's all this about "only" or "never more"? You're basically fucking married.

I need to break down and get the entire Part of Your World series in ebook. There are always easter eggs in the rest of the books, but I can't search them because my copies of Part of Your World are hardback.

I would not normally pick this book up because love triangles irritate me, but it's Abby Jimenez and I trust her writing so we'll see. If nothing else, she writes emotionally complex characters better than any other romance writer I've read

I have little interest in either of these characters, but Veda is awesome and I'm really hoping her and Skylar's brother get their own book

I was gonna settle in with a stormy day book today, but despite the dire forecasts of storms it's bright and sunny outside. Blue skies, not a cloud to be found. Do not believe that 100% chance of rain in the next hour.

I vaguely feel like I may have read this in middle school, but by now we're talking 30-ish years so I have basically no recollection of it. Figured I'd give a read since it's relatively short and counts for my massively behind BotM TBR list

The amount of ass kissing going on in this introduction already has me distrusting literally anything this man says. Suspect I'll be doing a deep dive into the citations.

Another book about a writer lmao but this one at least seems more promising. Also, the writer may have at some point actually looked at a picture of Ireland on Instagram

I'm supposed to be empathising with this girl's anxiety, but instead all I'm seeing is someone who insists on taking every single thing everyone says in the most negative possible way. At a certain point, you have to acknowledge that YOU are the common denominator and learn to deal with your shit

This is a dumb premise. For every bitchy fan there are four more who'd pick up this woman's book just because she's linked to their favourite celebrity, plus a bunch of others who will vaguely remember that they wanted to add it to their TBR but not really remember why

Do these women ever stop drinking? They've had like four bottles of wine and three of champagne in two days

I could never be allowed access to my own social media if I were even a little famous. I'd get into too many fights with stupid people

Wonder what it'd be like to read a romance that's not about a writer. Or a lit professor. Or someone who wants to be a writer or a lit professor.

This may have too much secondhand embarrassment for my socially anxious self to handle

Have set up a schedule to read this over the next couple of weeks because I realised FAR less of it is footnotes and citations than I thought XD If I don't make a schedule, I'll probably never finish it

So. Turns out I like this better when I read one letter at a time. Meaning I may finish it in five or so years.
