Getting through this at an ok clip given I can only do half an hour or so before I get bored. At this rate, I might finish it by Thanksgiving.

Chapter One: In which a boomer who has spent too much time in the manosphere dons half-assed Game of Thrones Cosplay, pretends his Vespa is a Harley, and obsesses over a girl who doesn't know he exists

First on the first Well Educated Mind reading list, and one I attempted to read in the original Spanish when I was like 14.

The table of contents alone takes up 12 pages. I was not successful. I do, however, remember Wishbone dressed up as a very cute Sancho Panza

Hm. Given that it's a bit unfair to review a book without having followed its central curriculum, it looks like this is going to be an 'in progress' read for at least a year. Likely more because there's no way I'm giving up all fun reading to get through the 120+ books in this thing in a single year.

I have been meaning to read this basically since it was published. 20+ years later, I'm finally getting around to it.

The whole "I'm not gay!" speech would be more compelling if not for the fact that I'm still convinced the author has never heard of asexuality

I couldn't take the suspense and jumped to the back to find out which guy she ends up with.

Something tells me this author has never heard of asexuality. That's likely to be a problem for me going forward.

This is somehow an even less interesting book with Adderall. Not sure whether I should skim through or just give up on it entirely

I want to like this book more than I do, but holy shit is it boring

Sometimes reading a book is a really great reminder that, yes, I am in fact doing everything I can, I do know and use every tool available to me, I just also have ADHD and a lot of things I can't do shit about

I do not like how this book is laid out so far. Pretty well agree with the premise, but the structure is very annoying.

Yeah, I'm over this one. Posh Englishman describes exotic locale is just not something I'm really willing to put up with at the moment. Probably going to go look for Chatwin's collab with Mapplethorpe though

I want to enjoy this more than I am actually enjoying it. It's objectively funny and well-written, I'm just still bored out of my damned mind.

I don't know why this woman keeps insisting this family is based off the Bridgertons. They are very clearly the WEASLEYS. All boys except the youngest, twins with F&G names, youngest boy's best friend is a celebrity the sister has been crushing on forever and his love interest is a minority trying to make space for other minorities? They're the fucking Weasleys.

I want to like this, but it's set so much in its time that I'm struggling with every page. There's just nothing quite so off-putting as an Englishman marveling at "exotic" locales

This has to be another book that counts endnotes and citations in the percentage because I can't imagine what could possibly make up another 60% of this book.

I just desperately need to read something that is (a) mindless and (b) not Anne Lamott. My fiction e-reader is locked away and I can't face the thought of trying to get into a new non-fiction read at midnight so here we are

Over 20 years since I first read this book and I am still bored out of my god damned mind.

I vaguely remember loving Dawson's style of writing even if I don't actually like the underlying messages of her plots very much, plus I needed something to do while eating that didn't involve my phone. So here we are. Still enjoy her style of writing, still less sure about the actual story.

Have started this again. Interesting how much my response has changed in ~a year. Turns out I have much less patience for woo-woo when I don't feel like my life is actively falling apart XD

Was going to save this for winter, but it was the first book I saw after realising the book I'd started reading was yet ANOTHER involving dead/dying/almost dead partners so here we are. At a minimum, I'm almost certain this one won't send me spiralling into "what if" scenarios where I'm alone, homeless, and unemployable

Sending this back to the TBR pile because, while it's gotten more readable in the last little bit, I am bored af and can't bring myself to suffer through the remaining 2/3.

I am actually not a fan of When Harry Met Sally (I know, I know), but I loved the first book in this series and Jackson was fun even as a background character so we'll see. I don't actually like Sleepless in Seattle as a romance either (they don't even meet until basically the end, wtf) but that didn't stop me from enjoying First Time Caller

This is the dumbest curse ever. The most obvious reading of it should have made every man in Lachlan's family falling over themselves to make nice with the McKay family

Still repetitive, written for a wildly different target audience (military cosplay guys, I'd guess), and I've rolled my eyes enough to give myself a migraine, but here I am. Still reading. This is what happens when I run out of interesting before-bed books and am bored of my Emotional Support Fan Fiction.

Grabbed this because it was two bucks and had a reasonable premise. So far it's been annoyingly repetitive. Hoping that stops because I hate when people insist on making books that could've been pamphlets.
