a number of reviews complain about the reuse of "my dipshit husband" and i can't say i love it, but i am positive it's an intentional epithet use like you find in the epics ("grey-eyed pallas", "wily odysseus"). the term reinforces the features of the figure in question.

Am through six chapters and I'm not feeling it so far, which is making me sad because I love a lot of JAL. There's this talk of some "betrayal" by the FL that has made ML totally banish her basically but both POV keep talking about how ML knew FL had no choice in the marriage and that he never bothered talking to her so you can tell it's going to seem VERY DUMB when revealed.

Slow going on this one because it really is a historical fiction and not a "traditional romance" so I need to be in the right mindset. It's good, though. so it's not the book's fault but a personal failing.

This one is a bit of a struggle so far...

picked this back up, should be done this week. toot.
