The animal abuse in this book has been stomach turning tbh

Ok almost done with the book and have met the controversial Israeli “character” if you could even say that. It’s like not relevant to the story and kinda generally weird to include. Maybe I’m dumb and missing something

Better than initially anticipated but I have thoughts lol

WIT month book I meant to read last year

I was sent the arc of this last year, I regret not reading it earlier it’s so funny

My brain needed this

Guys idk wtf is happening

finally

Trying this one again and let me just say sally rooney is nowhere to be found

Guys love this so far

Ok the story is told from two perspectives. One is great! The other is good but has distractingly flowery prose, regardless I’m enjoying a lot

Wild that I’m still not halfway but still really liking

This is my second attempt and it’s going much better. Enjoying this a lot!

Trying this one again

Ok, I’ve been in such a Booker mode since February that it’s made me feel burnt out on reading kinda!!! Been wanting to read this one for the past few months and I’m choosing me! I’m sorry to my arcs

My final book on the 2026 international Booker prize shortlist! Let’s see 👀

This has a distinct feeling of impending doom

The really is long

So fun!

“And he thinks he understands what it is to be married, to be linked inseparably to another human being until your death, it’s impossible to have enough of her, to leave her, she’s part of him, like he’s let’s it his eyes, and he lays his hand close to hers on the table and brushes the tops of her fingers and she smiles at him, resigned and a little sad, and gets up to wash the dishes”

bro…

Oh this is weirdddd (positive)

I started this last night and I can’t WAIT to finish tonight whewwww (I don’t like it)
