What an emotional rollercoaster!

I’m enjoying the audiobook version of this so far. The writing is really pretty and paints a really great storytelling narration. It’s giving 13 Reasons Why vibes a little bit. Also vibes with more of a young adult version of The Whisper Network just with some of the organization and parts of the book. I will be writing a shelf topper for a bookstore that is helping us for a LGBTQIA+ nonprofit book drive.

That ending was awful. How could you? I get why it was done plot wise but unforgivable.

This is a must read book. So many important topics and it’s done very well. Another beautiful book by this author.

I’m about to start the audiobook version of this. One of my grandmothers credits was expiring so I rushed to find an audiobook to try with good reviews and a non distracting narrator. Has anyone read this? Thoughts?

This one didn’t work for me. I guessed the twist early on and the relationship development and attraction didn’t work.

I really liked the narration for Stay Awake by Megan Goldin.

This series is one of my ultimate favorite fantasy series of all time. It’s SO good! These characters never seem to get a break from everything. Also Lex aka Blue and Kai might be my favorite fantasy book couple of all time as well. So much happens between book 1 and book 8 and there still more books to go.

+explaining science of the body and brain and trauma and biology
+explaining getting professional help through the healthcare system with providers insurance expensive out of pocket costs for better providers
+explaining C-PTSD versus regular PTSD
+Explaining the calmness that can occur amid life threatening situations. Enjoying this so far and the explanations are very easily broken down even the scientific ones.

This was done really really well! The way the author explored the dynamics between characters in this book really stood out to me. The dynamic between Michelle and the social worker. The interaction between her and the burnt out judgmental discriminating nurse. Between her and her trafficker. I will say that not all girls get along the way these ones did in the book. It’s a heartbreaking read but a necessary one.

Also the way in this duet that the author loops the present and past chapters together is done beautifully. The messages overlapping and all you can tell took planning and time.

All the emotions reading this. It’s such a good plot and an impossible situation. It’s so good and heartbreaking. Two people who are doing their best with an impossible situation.

Two poems in and I already love it! Lana has a way with words and you can hear how personal these poems are and the emotion in her voice. I opted for the audiobook version since she narrates it.

I just realized that it’s part of her Life series so things are starting to make sense now with it getting weird. So I’m excited for that. It’s giving me slight Emma Scott Dreamcatcher series vibes.

Not sure how I feel about this one yet but so far I don’t think it’s gonna be one of my favorites from her.

Absolutely loved how incredibly detailed this one was. I did guess some of the twists but really enjoyed the writing style. The audiobook was really good and this is the first audiobook I’ve ever been able to finish actually.

This one didn’t work for me. Didn’t feel a connection between the FMC and MMC. She’s victim blamed over and over again. She claims that she realizes that she was a victim but doesn’t stand up for herself to others like her parents etc. Something about the way this was done sends the wrong message. I can’t tell if it’s her parents that bug me more or how she treats the whole situation. Had potential…

This is SO good! I’m listening to the audiobook which I believe I saw recommended somewhere and decided to give it a try. I hate audiobooks usually so this is the first one I’ve been able to get used to and listen to. Highly recommend.

K.A. Tucker … I tend to really enjoy your books so I had high hopes for this one… Don’t care for it and I dislike the male love interest’s character. I know they are in high school but where’s the romance ? He comes across as way too focused on the physical relationship. He says things that are insulting like he’s too old to hold hands with his gf and neighbor that he spends so much time with. For real?

Could use some good dystopian book recommendations.
Preferably with some romance and danger/adventure

I don’t have an autoimmune disorder but I do have a chronic illness that isn’t well known. I’ve already related to some of the things in this book and am learning more about autoimmune disorders. Our healthcare system is so messed up.
So far it’s really good.

Ok so this reminds me of that Disney movie Jump In! As a kid I was always jealous of how at night the two characters apartment ladders were basically next door and led to one another. Similar scenario here with the two characters talking through nearby apartment windows and having a nerf gun and bubble war at night. That was a childhood dream of mine. Anyone else have similar one?
