i still don’t understand how there’s no four wheelers or any form of transportation on the island. it’s 5 miles long and mr harker not living at school would need some sort of way to carry his gardening tools, and would make pickups easier and faster cause no way ur walking 10 miles in one day while carrying a heavy trash bag full of stuff

so we all knew that jamie and sasha were being sneaky behind autumn’s back cause it was so obvious right. and maybe it’s just me but the writing can be sooo cringey sometimes and i hate it

why keep everything a secret when we’re all stuck on this island tg. i feel like everyone should know everything since they’re prolly never leaving the island even tho ik something sinister is happening still the only two adults should be transparent at least

ud think since rations are slim and everyone is suffering the girls would come together and be a big team rather than fight each other for scraps like a bunch of animals. acting like this an all boy school like we’re better than this guys. like why are we stealing blankets as if we can’t share??

i’m wishing the book was a little longer so we can have more lillian x madison ships, i hope lillian gets to actually keep the children and they don’t get shipped to a boarding school even tho ik that’s prolly what’s gonna happen and lillian will go back to her shitty life

autumn finally accepting she loves finny is what i’ve been waiting for. however the way they treat other ppl is so weird like why are we being evil to our friends new gf?? just bc she isn’t like u doesn’t mean she isn’t a bad person!?? but i also keep forgetting this is a ya book and it’s written like a ya book

finny completely understanding autumn in a way that jamie doesn’t and how she’s always thinking of finny in some way but she’s in denial abt liking him

lillian realizing she wants to be a good care taker for bessie and roland but only after they ran away from her is telling that she only realized how real the situation was when she lost the children

i like how understanding lillian is of the children while everyone else in their lives have kind of shunned them due to the condition they have

and dumbledore showing exactly who he is by saying he doesn’t wanna put all his secrets in one basket

it was cute how snape and lily were friends before they went to school and even while they were at school. even tho they may of had they’re disagreements and issues they we still friends until snape let mudblood slip. but he yelled at phineas when he called hermione mudblood so he must despise the word since it happened w lily

aberforth dropping family lore and how ariana stopping using magic cause she was beat up by muggles is insane. snape telling harry to look at him when he was dying just so he could see lily eyes was heartbreaking. what if harry had looked more like lily would snape of been as evil to harry? and rlly the elder wand was draco’s cause he did the disarming charm on dumbledore and won the wand

apparently they “lost” the sword but doesn’t it show up to anyone who needs it. not just something that u can hang on to forever

i knew harry was stupid but not stupid enough to say voldemorts name bc he was mad at hermione disagreeing w him.

there’s no way harry and hermione were in and out of grodrics hollow and did all they did in less than an hr i refuse to believe it. i could’ve done without the excerpt of rita’s book abt dumbledore being friends w grindelwald chapter seemed kinda pointless to me. when grindelwald is barely mentioned the entire series until recently.

first poor kreacher just when he was finally understood the trio had to leave him i hope he’s safe,next why can’t harry just put the horcrux in the bad that hagrid got him, since he always has it and he’s the only one that can open it? instead of having to wear it all the time and all the arguing could’ve been forgone. third i thought polyjuice was only good for an hr

poor kreacher missing regulus is so sad having to watch ur master die is horrible and im glad harry is nicer to him now

harry’s birthday cake being a snitch is so cute and when they poly juiced him as someone else for bill and fleurs wedding was lowkey so smart

was not expecting dudley to say harry wasn’t a waste of space bc harry saved him from the dementors

draco being afraid bc the yr is almost over and he hasn’t fulfilled voldemorts request and talking to myrtle of all ppl abt it lowkey like wow. ginny and hermione fighting bc hermione couldn’t shut up abt the potions book and harry

i like all the memories of showing voldemort’s past and how his features changed in the span of a decade to where he was no longer recognizable

the amortentia smelling like something from the burrow for harry and then ginny smelling like it is so good. like yes u love ginny. and ron commenting his traits while hermione lists harry like “i still have scars from the brains” “plus you’ve grown so much over break” “im tall” the jealousy is peak

i could’ve done without reading abt the exams tbh coulda said all exams went well and smoothly until astronomy class, there’s always not enough detail and then there’s too much detail and rowling gets the just right amount of detail sometimes but other times she does too much on like mundane reading things or too little with like action scenes

the chapter i just read was so pointless like was the point in harry asking sirius if james was actually a bully. one as if sirius would say his best friend was a bad person, two sirius is an unreliable source bc ofc he’s gonna say snape was just as bad and james was just retaliating to snape.

the chapter could’ve been cut out cause it didn’t even provide to the storyline at all either

snape not being any diff from james as an adult and takes it out on harry as if he was raised by james and not without parents and seen has an outcast at least once a yr at school. being jealous of students just proves he shouldn’t be a teacher at all and when lilly tried to help him and he called her a mudblood instead of taking the help and maybe even a friend was also insane
