Idk how to update progress now because I’m 20% through book 2. anyways…. Something happened at the end of the first book where this became absolutely fantastic. Really happy with where we’re at.

Good reads is calling it 1 book. Which is fine. I’m almost done Part 1 of the 1152 page, 2 part beast called shogun. Part 1 is a 7. Excited for part 2 but it’s interesting cus I don’t like the main character, or feel much for him at all.

Still enjoying a lot. Right now we are looking at a solid 7/10.

Very much enjoying this. It’s better than Comanche moon- the ending will determine if it’s better than lonesome dove. It’s super depressing though 😂

This is great so far. Super fun and light. The prose is less descriptive than what I'm used to but I'm enjoying it - it lets your imagination work a little harder. This is very "once and future king" - esque

This is a snooze so far! However, lonesome dove picked up for me real late, so hopefully this will follow suit.

I’m telling you bro, Robin Hobb is always doing this!! This is immediately better than Ship of Magic. First book was all set up and now she’s got everything set for massive payoff and beautiful story. Glad I finished book one. Super pumped to be in book 2.

It makes sense why everyone gave ship of magic such positive reviews!! I will not amend mine, but I appreciate it because now I’m enjoying the trilogy.

Hmmm… I don’t know how to feel about this. I think Hobb has a lot of work to do in the 15% of the book that’s left
