Approaching the end of this collection of Benson’s “spook stories” - need to invest into the Wordsworth editions more over the course of the summer; they’re fantastic.

Picked up primarily for the section on the gothic and ghost stories but I’ve decided to stick around for more.

Explanatory notes galore! Won’t be surprised if I come out of this an expert in medieval church architecture which will make for an excellent topic of conversation in the smoking area!!! Very suspenseful though, James really earned his cred.
