Approaching the end of this collection of Benson’s “spook stories” - need to invest into the Wordsworth editions more over the course of the summer; they’re fantastic.

Returning to Benson on the day of the Summer Solstice for a mighty fine helping of Cornish folk horror.

Less literary than M.R. James, but still really flipping eloquent. I wonder if the blokes featured in these stories on their lil escapades down south for a tour of the golf links did more than play with golf balls. Shame bout Benson being misogynist smh.
