OMG the level of frustration I feel at all of the people around her who are so useless.

I’m you took a shot every time she says my fiancé you’d be dead.

Why doesn’t she use his name???

Why do the women in these books always marry abusive arseholes? The man has no redeeming features whatsoever and gaslights her constantly.
Just get a divorce.

Does anything actually happen in this book?

“Hunter guessed her age to be no older than twenty-five. Her legs, stomach and arms had defined muscle tone and it was clear she’d taken pride in her appearance. Her hair was golden blonde, long and smooth., falling halfway down her back. Hunter was sure she’d been a very attractive woman.”

The woman in question was skinned alive. Even in a gruesome death, she’s being objectified. 🤦🏻‍♀️

God I want this book to end. Juliette is a total airhead and such a liability.

Listening to her moan constantly about such superficial bullshit like her stupid boyfriend problems when people are literally dying around her is infuriating.

She’s probably one of the most dangerous people in the book and yet she acts so helpless. When Anderson was stealing her guns, she just let him.

She’s so fucking lame.

Whole aspects of this book are irritating AF.

Like, call the police. You know their names, you have video evidence and you work for a law firm. WTF?

The thing with James sister/brother better not be what I think it is.

This woman is insufferable.

I think I’ve muttered WTF and GTF out at least 50 times. This is infuriating.

This is a real slog. I’m going to finish it because I’m not starting the year with a DNF, but it’s going to be a battle.

Rich Askew was declared as presumed dead four years ago. I know this because it’s mentioned at least 7 times a chapter.

This might be one of the most depressing books I’ve read.

Good grief, the narration is DREADFUL.

Every single character in this book is annoying AF.

“She thinks about how they never had a true, fair, shot at this” are you fucking kidding me? You broke the rules every chance you got. Each time they found you it was BECAUSE you did the wrong thing.

These people clearly all want to die. It’s infuriating.

But Zara behaving like a total brat is just too much. As IF you wouldn’t pull her up each and every time she mouthed off.

This would make way more sense if Aiden was actually an uncover police officer instead of Zara's dad. If these people wanting to kill Girl A know who Zara is, then they'd definetly know who Aiden is.

These characters are absolutely ridiculous. John is a complete arsehole with not a single redeeming feature. Jen is a woefully pathetic woman who just tolerates all of his bullshit. I absolutely despise these story arks where the woman has to endlessly apologise for her mistakes while the man is allowed to do far worse without a word said.

Also, married people who hate each other is so fucking tiresome to read.

This Catherine character is really doing my head in. Her behaviour makes no fucking sense at all. “I’m actually going to get away” she says, even though she’s not being held captive.

This book is rapidly descending into one of those books where the characters just dig themselves into a deeper mess because they refuse to have a conversation with each other.

Why is Catherine suddenly scared of her mum? I don’t understand. It’s her mum, she’s never been violent towards her or given her any reason to be scared. Being angry that she lied makes sense. Confused, hurt, sad all make sense but scared seems like a massive leap.

The cops in this book are so infuriating I want to reach through the pages and punch one of them!

Wait is every woman in this book in love with Joe? Joe who has no evidence of even having any kind of a personality? WTF?

This author needed to do more (any!) research on prosopagnosia. It’s the inability to recognise familiar faces, not the inability to SEE faces. They can still see faces and recognise emotions. FFS.

So she gets sent a tracking device with clear evidence of blackmail, threats of revenge porn in what is obviously an absolute violation of Lena’s parole conditions. There’s already a sex tape out there of her and her life is in ruins. There is no reason NOT to take it all to the police. Lena has no power here. This is idiotic.

God this book is repetitive and monotonous.

Amy’s friend tells Joe about Amy’s past.
Joe goes to Amy and they rehash not only her past but also Joes trip to Paris. Amy tells Joe about her painting.
Joe goes to Vinny and tells Vinny all about Amy’s past, the trip to Paris and Amy’s painting.

Like fuck me, I don’t need to read all this crap multiple times over. None of it is all that complicated.

Joe’s obsession with Alexia is ruining this series for me.
