Ah shit…here we go again 😂 I’m so ready for the BS. Xaden and Violet got me giggling at work.

Eeeep! I haven’t felt this excited reading/listening to a book since Divergent. I see what the hype was about.

Okayyyyy. Very cliche. Enemies to lovers trope. It’s like The Walking Dead with love story in between.

It’s not bad! But, not great. I’m just here for the achievement.

I don’t know how to feel. There’s so much to say about how the book has begun. It’s always difficult to read about anything on slavery but…this part of history isn’t supposed to be easy to swallow. I embrace the pain of that time when my ancestors suffered through so much and know that my pain can never touch theirs.

BRODY!!!!! What a man. So romantic and communicative (so rare to have both or even one in a man). I’m swooning 💕💕🤭 I love how Landon and Brody’s relationship is a slow burn. So cute ahhhhh 😂

Reminds me a lot of the Devil Wear’s Prada but with a Southern vibe. I’m enjoying it. It’s very girly.

So far so good. I don’t read self-help genre often due to its heavy self-reliance and not incorporating any spirituality alongside it. Surprisingly, the author has found a balance between establishing both and highlighting the importance of achieving your goals despite all possible excuses. I’m enjoying it, which is shocking because I’m only reading it for the Winter challenge 🤭

I’ve approached the part of the book where things are picking up in the argument between naturalism and supernatural. In the beginning of reading this book, there was a series of confusion and “ah, I get it.” There are little nuggets of wisdom that I am finding along the way but, this is still a dense and difficult read. I will continue trudging along.
