It’s true joy to be re-reading this book. The first time I read it, it changed my life and gave me the courage to implement changes to the way I view everything. There is a lot of information to take in because you slowly realize that your way of being wasn’t truly being but instead constantly in resistance of the true meaning of “being”.

Eating this book up. There is a lot of pain that can be felt from the protagonist and the author does well in describing the intense pain of loss. Putting two characters together that can understand the same pain and trying to grow a foundation from that doesn’t always work. I am eager to know how things play out!

Learning a lot. Emotional intelligence has changed my life in many ways. It’s awesome to know that I have already exemplified the teachings in the book already, before reading.

Learning about a lot of celebrities involved that I didn’t even think were involved and that Scientology has deeper claws than I expected. Ignorance was bliss and now I feel like I know too much.

Not gonna lie. I am finding it hard to get through the rest of this book. It’s painfully bad and the main character is unbearable. How is this considered a romance novel? This book cares more about politics and race. Why is there such a huge deeper meaning that feels like a direct attack from the author to white readers? I’m annoyed, but let’s wrap this up.
