What have we learned so far?

Democritus: Proposed the idea of atoms (atom meaning 'un-cuttable' in Greek). The world is all Lego blocks; shapes and objects are not eternal, but the pieces themselves are.

Socrates: People are quick to be content with truths and knowledge as far as they are useful to them, but if examined from the ground up, people will realize they really do not know anything.

When faced with tough questions, we tend to default to forming easier questions from them and answering those (fast thinking), instead of really sitting down and thinking it through (slow thinking). Stay conscious of this!

Finished Book 1. The story of Lieutenant Mamiya was truly engaging. The description of his emptiness seems to parallel the prostitute's story from earlier.

This sounds way too interesting to pass by. By the time I'm done, none of you will see me.

Bittersweet end. Reminds me of Total Recall.
