Now, the book is more interesting since the main character of the book, Charlie is not living with his mother anymore, but with his grandparents. Over there, he met a girl named Roxie. She's really good at playing basketball and from her, Charlie started to get better with techniques and even learning new moves. From about p. 230-260, I learned that sometimes you need someone to motivate you in order to reach a goal.

This book is extremely interesting for its format. Unlike other books, lines of words filling up the whole book, rather, this book splits up sentences into different lines to make the reader read faster, and getting "hooked on". So far, I met a bunch of kids named Charlie, CJ, Josh, Jordan, and other kids that have the same interest as me, basketball. Also, I'm getting to know each of their interesting personal life.

Billy Ren is on page 30 of 323 of To Kill a Mockingbird
The first chapter, I have known some background information and had a prediction on what this book will go like later on. Also, I got to know a few character traits or personalities of each character who was introduced in this chapter. Furthermore, in the first chapter, I can already feel the style of the book, which would be about critics. I have noticed this from dialogues, narrator voice, and character actions.

Billy Ren is on page 150 of 224 of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
From a chapter, the author told us that the main character Bruno had met a boy named Shmuel and he is the one in the striped pajamas. They talked to each other and something that surprised me was that Shmuel was talking about arm-bands, he had to wear a hexagram. What's interesting is that Bruno knew that his dad also had an arm-band but it has a different shape, it goes like the Nazi sign, and this made me wonder...

One of the most exciting things so far is Bruno arguing with his dad on why are they moving into that old disgusting 3-floor house. Bruno insisted that the house in Berlin was way better because he had friends and other things to do. However, his dad asserted that his job is way more important than anything and commanded him to not think about the old house anymore and deal with their current one they are living now.

In this book, there is a main character named Bruno. His family moved from a beautiful Berlin house to an Out-With house where not many people are hanging around. From the beginning of the book to now, I was thinking while I was reading that why is the title called "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas?" From inferences and clues from the book, I am starting to suspect that are they being surrounded with PRISONERS?......

At this point in the book, I am learning so much more knowledge about the big idea of this book, cracking coasts. At first, I was thinking that this book is only about some weird and funny writing and some fun facts. However, I was wrong. From beginning to now, this book has been telling me about the history of different cracking coasts, famous explorers discovering them, some interesting facts and a lot more else.

This book is very interesting to me because it tells a lot about geographies. It's also talking about a journey of searching for a lost captain, Grant. At first, the people found that Grant is on latitude 37. Then they travelled to Argentina to rescue him, but ended in failure. So they now rediscovered the paper and went to Australia coast to try to find him. I stopped and think: Will they succeed and find him there?

Through 11 years of harsh situation that Salva had faced, he is finally having the chance to go to a new country with no war, and living in safety. I think this switch point is kind of related to the title of the story "A long walk to water." Because water is a resource that everyone need to survive and peace does the same thing. Also, a long walk reflects to Salva's difficult journey towards peace and safety.

I like the way how this book was presented. Not only this book tells me a lot of facts about CRACKING COASTS, but it also gave us examples about it in history. With this book, I am able to know how many cracking coasts there are in the whole world, (which is 8) along with the location. This book is also really interesting since there were some amazing additional fun facts that were new to me.

I think that this book is one of the most beautiful companion to the novel I have read in my life so far. The reason is that this book contains a collection of quotes, one quote for every day in a year. One of my favorite quotes is "When it's dark, be the one who turns on the light." I think what this means is that when someone's life is dark and hard, be the one who is kind by turn on the light, give them hope.

This book is talking about a boy named Salva Dut was separated from his family during a civil war in South Sudan. He has to walk for weeks with only the hope that one day he will find his family again. Salva also struggles to find food and water to survive along with avoiding gunmen, lions, and other threats. And this is where I stopped. So far, I kind of like this book because it's telling a child's perseverance.

Ryan Dean, the main character of the story, is like me and my friend Charlton because we are also the kind of people who are really funny in-front of our friends, and our teachers. For example, during school in Australia, my friend was really upset about something other people did to him. So, both of us made him happy by making us some random jokes. That's an example of how we are like Ryan Dean's personality, funny.

The main character Ryan Dean West is not a lot like me, but similar because he also has a strong passion for sports. The reason why I am similar to him, but not alike is that he loves to play rugby, but I love to play basketball. For example, during his summer break, he played rugby a lot. One time, which is this summer, I played basketball a lot instead of rugby. So, both of us love sports but loves different types.
