S-089 is finished with Flashback (Keeper of the Lost Cities, #7)
flashback put simply, is darker than I expected. it puts on the terrors of war and the pain it gives the veterans, their lives scarred and their bodies damaged. Flashback also has the mushier side, where it sheds lights on the awkward monstrous feelings that lurk within all of us. yes, I'm talking about crushes and dating. put simply, teenagers are roughly as capable as handling their feelings as a droid, or robot.

"suck it up" that's the advice the teacher gave to Zoey. its pretty accurate when it comes to life. bad things happen, you can't avoid it. so when they do happen, just accept it and move on, or do something about it. this sums up pretty much Zoey has to face everyday in poverty, she has to make a stand for herself, otherwise at this rate, I don't know how she'll survive this monster of a society

S-089 is 49% done with Nightfall (Keeper of the Lost Cities, #6)
Nightfall touches nicely with how children first touch with romance. they are awkward, uncertain and very careful, making sure not to ruin any friendships. the author really gave an accurate example of a teen's love life, including all the awkward and uncomfortable feelings, which is nice for a change, when many other fantasy novels have the couples all smooth and just not very teen like

S-089 is finished with Scythe (Arc of a Scythe, #1)
in the book, it follows the story of citra and rowan, two reluctant killers in a world where death can only be brought by people like, scythes. the author does a really good job on describing how people change whether they want to or not. rowan detested in being a trained mass muderer, but he still admits he enjoys the killing. change is something we all avoid be receive, and I think that is important to know for all

S-089 is on page 346 of 560 of Gone (Gone, #1)
in the book gone, the adults disappeared and left the kids to fend fro themselves in a twenty mile bubble where bullies are the ones that thrive. I think that the part where bullies thrive is quite interesting, as it kind of says that fear is a powerful weapon that can be warped and used. bullies use the fear they bring to command others, in in process, they get a place in the society where they can be a leader.

S-089 is starting A Long Walk to Water
in the book, I find the character Salva to be stronger than I thought. at the start, he appeared to be this whiny little boy that does not understand why every one either wants to ditch him. now that his uncle is dead, and his family in uncertain grounds, he has nothing to loose, and shows more grit than I though he has, braving the criticisms of others who view him as a drag .

S-089 is finished with Aurora Rising (The Aurora Cycle, #1)
I think one character I can really relate in the book is Cat. she want's to fly to soar extremely badly, not spend time with losers, and punching things. I have the same kind of urge to do things I want, and they aren't that different. aside from that, I can also really relate with being rather hot headed and stubborn, and wanting to just fly or ride very very fast.

S-089 is starting The Fellowship of the Ring (The Lord of the Rings, #1)
I think the book, the hobbits really remind me of little children, all naive and friendly, trusting pretty much everyone. for example, Frodo continues to believe Bilbo is alive even though he would have been like 170 years old by then, and continues to celebrate his birthday with feasts. aside from that, I also think the hobbits are Naive because they don' think about the potential deaths they may have on the journey

S-089 is finished with Frost Like Night (Snow Like Ashes, #3)
I think the setting of the book impacts the main character because of without magic, she wouldn't be the queen of Winter, yet with magic, she could also choose to blow up the world or save it. this made a big impact as she is torn between wanting magic, and wanting to destroy magic. basically she can't decide between saving everyone and saving her own people.

S-089 is on page 149 of 342 of Thrawn: Alliances (Star Wars: Thrawn, #2)
I think Thrawn Alliances is really cool because it demonstrates how effective power and tactics can be when they are used correctly. in the story Vader and thrawn work together to solve a mystery, and with thrawn's analytical skills and Vader brute force, they effectively crunch through problem after problem. this shows how brains and ability to act out the thoughts is important.

S-089 is reading Thrawn (Star Wars: Thrawn, #1)
I think that one character that Thrawn is like is, well, no one. Thrawn is Thrawn, and pretty much no one can match his analytical skills. aside from that, the also has the ability to view things in his enemies shoes, something not even admiral ackbar could do precisely. in general, I think that thrawn is a fascinating character that is special, and someone Spock would like to meet.

I think the character I'm most like is Hal. he is the main in the story, and has several qualities that I think I have too.
1. Ingenuity He and I both has this trait. he proved this many times, like when he mounted a ballistae on his ship
2. creativity. he built the first triangular sail ship, I build lots of legos ships.
3. his mom can cook well, so can mine.
4. he's a odd ball, I'm a nerd, we're both uncommon
