I can't with Alice's parts. They drag on, every mundane moment stretched out like a piece of gum. It constantly feels like nothing actually happens. I hope the amount of flashbacks will have a payoff in the end.

I'm still waiting for the book to properly "start". I still feel like I'm in the "setting the stage" part of it, and I'm growing impatient. I get it. I get the concept, the background, the struggle. Now move along to the story.

María is easily the most interesting to read so far. I love her chapters.

Hot damn. Loving this so far. Reading it with my girlfriend.

It's good so far. I like how the writing flows, it's easy to go through each chapter. I hope it stays that way. My interest is piqued.

It's just all around nice. Not mind-blowing, but definitely one of my favorite YA romances, which usually isn't my go-to genre. But this one just struck me at the store and now here we are with hsarly 150 pages in two days.

I'm surprised I find myself still liking this so much. I expected to be fed up with Cayo and Amaya dancing around each other like this but somehow it doesn't bug me. Interesting.

Still very much enjoying it. Its face paced but so far doesn't feel rushed to me. I feel like every chapter moves the story forward.

So far I've flown through the first 4 chapters.

I really don't know why I continue reading this when I know this is just gonna be the typical tropey YA style I don't like much at all

So far: some repetitions I find unnecessary, some things said resonate with me so deeply I could have cried and some things I don't resonate with at all.

Of course, every autistic person is different so that's to be expected.

Glad to see some positive things happen but it all always seems so clear cut, good vs bad, that I just feel a bit wary of all of it

What the heck is this kinda reaction? Your kid just got assaulted and you punish the child for that? As if spanking your kid is gonna make them... what?... not be assaulted next time?

I find it a little to get through this. Somehow reading the first book (both times) was just such a joy and it went so quickly. But the second one drags with me. I don't know why. Is the writing different? It sure is a bit slower but still. Its not doing the thing for me that made me pick up book 1 again: Quick read, no thinking, interesting enough story, reminds me of my YA teenage days lol

I think I'm in love with wild magic and I have the urge to play a multiclass character. I need a dnd GM so I can be a player! (I am the GM in my campaign)

This is coming to an end quickly. I was scared if I'd read it again today, I'd dislike it since my opinions changed a lot from when I was 16. But I'm actually fine. I find the absence of any disabled people quite frightening though. I also forgot if we ever get an answer to the question of why there are seemingly no elderly people with the Ferox.

I don't know why I picked this up. I just did and opened it and now I'm 118 pages in and it's 2am. I guess after all this time of no reading and having trouble of regulating my autistic emotions and stress levels, I was craving something that felt familiar and safe. I had always liked this book, but I was a teenager then, knew myself and the world less than I do now, had different views. Time to rediscover this story
