sigh i’ll miss xue meng after i finish this story….

i wouldn’t say i was in a reading slump, since most of these past few weeks, i’ve just been in the mood for fanfiction. but it’s funny how now, i have this huge burst of motivation to read actual novels—they have to be danmei, though. i may have had a dnf but i will be finding another read!!

sigh i have very mixed feelings about this main pairing….hate when this happens lol

it just occurred to me why this story feels so familiar!! it reminds me of kun yi wei lou’s “the missing piece”—mainly bc of the amnesia trope. now i’m even more hyped to read this :D

i ended up reading way more than i intended before going to sleep, but tomorrow’s my first day off in about a week so i deserve some self-indulgence. spoiler: this book became a 5-star to me, so i’m happy

feels strange that i didn’t notice until now but a new favorite trope of mine has been unearthed thanks to this story, and it makes me happy (will reveal it in my review once i’m done!)
