the DRAMA i’m enthralled

truly excellent so far

i can’t believe they had me reading this in 9th grade. this is such a dense, rich book that i’m enjoying annotating and really processing. such an intimate study of human nature and loneliness.

this has turned into an exploration of humanity and repentance. genuinely excited to see how this concludes. i don’t know how each book of the vampire chronicles achieves a completely new aspect of vampirism and history but it’s great.

this finally picked up and i’m invested. i know miss anne rice loves to drag some shit out but she almost lost me. definitely a more introspective and solemn book than the previous 3.

the one thing that was always pull me out of a reading slump is historical fiction i loveeeee this so far. this is the last book of this trilogy and one loved every book so far. have high hopes for this 🫶🏽

really enjoying this writing so far

it’s so interesting reading from the point of view of an old woman in this first story bc i often find myself reading books from younger perspectives. its very interesting to see her thoughts on aging and evolution. onto the second story 🫡

i can’t believe this is fiction someone created in their head

my mind is stimulated and i’m completely engrossed by her words

okay i see, i’m not supposed to feel completely positive towards the main character. she has a lot of problems and isn’t really a great person, but she’s dealing with real mental illness and this is her descent into madness.

i would be enjoying this more if it wasn’t so racist and hateful to fat people like damn

it’s taking me a while to read this because i’m annotating more than ever but it’s so worth it

this story is so expansive and intricate, it’s crazy that it’s fiction

a classic for a reason wow i’m eating this up in just a day
