Going to try and finish this today.

I’m enjoying the story as a whole but I’ve been reading it at night after long, busy days, and as a consequence can barely keep my eyes open.

For the record: “young readers edition, no explicit language” just means no f— or s— words. Everything else is still there, including both b— words and the boob joke.

Currently working my way through the Young Readers Edition to see if my oldest (he's 11) can read it!

Almost done with my (unknown number) re-read! This is still the best book in the entire series.

This is dang good, I like it.

I think I’ve figured out the twist (about 10% ago).

With a number in the title, this is my last book for the Viewpoint 2026 Reading Challenge!

I strongly suspect reading a book like this "preaching to the choir," but I'm intrigued to see the Biblical evidence for this theological debate of cessationism vs. continuationism.

This book has actually done a good job of catching the reader up from the events of book one, so I’m clipping along with the new plot developments.

These poor kids just can’t get a break! But it’s comedic, ahem, how often they’ve gotten interrupted. The mystery is kind of taking a backseat to that, although this has had some lovely things to say about marriage and its purpose. So, we’ll see how the last 30% goes!

I had forgotten until recently that also, alongside my horse, shark, Egypt, mythology stages, I had an Everest phase, spurred on by the IMAX documentary I saw at the St. Louis Science Center in the late 90’s. So it’s cool to get back into that!
