So, chapter 2 covers the BB gun portion of “A Christmas Story.” Can’t wait to see what else this book holds!

A gift from my SIL. Cute so far, but holy heck, I’ve lost count of the f—words in this YA (13-18) novel, so way not appropriate for the target audience.

My SIL gifted me this book for my birthday so I’m giving it a go!

Well, my 10 year old will be pleased: a bunch of raptors just attacked, killed, and ate a wounded carnotaurus, so there’s the dino violence he was wanting from this story. 🤣

This is very interesting! So far, I’d say 4 stars and I would give it to my oldest (10 year old boy).

“Knowledge and power are inadequate. That’s why [we’re pointed] forward to wisdom and virtue.” Now THAT feels relevant for our time.

I like it when King writes kid characters who don’t act like tiny, mildly wicked adults (swearing and knowing things). Hoping this little girl comes out okay!!!

I’m gonna get this in under the wire for October!

So close to the end. Some honesty has been had, but by gum, this better resolve by the end or…. I mean, my gosh, I’ve been reading this series for over a decade, something’s gotta give!!!

This is a wholesome rom-com that I’m not disliking, but sandwiching it between a King thriller and a Galbraith mystery wasn’t my wisest choice because I keep mentally muttering, “This isn’t a real problem, just talk and solve your issues.” 😂

Finally! Some honest conversations! Oh, and the mystery is clicking along too (LOTS of moving parts).

Jo—I mean, Rob—let these two kids get together in the next 300 pages or I’m going to scream.

It’s been at least a decade since I read this book (how is that possible???), and I am terrified all over again.
