Angela is starting Harrow the Ninth (The Locked Tomb, #2)
I am now in Act Two of this book, and without getting into spoilers, knowing what I know about the ending of Gideon the Ninth, I will say:

WTFF!?!?!?! I HAVE QUESTIONS.

And this book is being deliciously maddening about how slowly it's answering them. ;)

Angela is starting Believe Me: A Memoir of Love, Death, and Jazz Chickens
I'm actually a good ways in on this already although I just added it to my Goodreads shelf tonight. :) Normally I'd read something like this in ebook form, but I'm doing the audiobook specifically because Eddie actually reads it--and he's delightful to listen to. <3

About halfway through this thing now and I gotta admit, like a lot of other folks, I kinda love Murderbot. <3 Particularly the whole "everybody bugger off and let me watch my serials" aspect of its character!

Angela is reading Green Mars (Mars Trilogy, #2)
Had to pause reading this at just under 70 percent in, because my library checkout ran out. Mostly because I'm finding this one a much harder slog than the first one was, and I couldn't be bothered to read it faster. Back on the hold queue for checking it out again, and moving on to reading other things in the meantime!

Angela is starting An Extraordinary Union (The Loyal League #1)
I have just started reading this today. Given current events, it seems like the exact right time to read a romance by an author of color.

Hey all: I've been getting a lot of book recommendations lately, and I appreciate the thought, I really do! But have y'all SEEN the size of my To Read list? 1,363 titles on that thing right now. Seriously, I am NOT hurting for things to read. ;D So unless you're _real_ sure that it'd be a good match for my reading preferences, not to mention that it's not already on my list, rethink the rec, mmkay? Thanks!

Angela is starting The Chimes
I'm only a few chapters in on this, but so far, I'm VERY much enjoying it. The prose is lovely, and I adore how the author is working all sorts of musical terms into how her protagonist talks and thinks. Plus, she's got an entire society in London built around music, as well as an intriguing question of why nobody can remember _anything_. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Angela is starting Bloodline
About halfway through at this point, and I gotta say, I'm enjoying the hell out of this story. All _sorts_ of intriguing questions about how this will lead into the events of The Force Awakens. And since this is a library checkout, chances are now HIGH that I'll actually be buying the book.

Angela is starting Artemis Awakening
The problem I've having with this book partway in is something only fans of the Thrilling Adventure Hour will understand: namely, that due to the naming scheme of several of the characters in the cast, e.g., Adara the Huntress, Helena the Equestrian, etc., I keep expecting Croach the Tracker to show up. And I am sad when he does not.

Angela is starting Who Fears Death
I should have read this book a long time ago. It's brutal but a fiery blast of cleansing air into my usual reading. I don't know where it's going and that's AWESOME.

Angela is on page 40 of 224 of The Ivy Tree
In the first couple of chapters of this and the heroine has been asked to impersonate a woman for whom she just happens to spectacularly resemble, with an eye towards letting a brother and sister get their mitts on an estate. I see NO POSSIBLE WAY in which this can go wrong.

Returning to my slow progress through this. Confused as to why it shifted from first to third person!

Angela is reading The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender
Started reading this today and _gosh_, there are beautiful sentences all over this thing. Bonus for it being magic realism set in Seattle about a girl born with wings. Lovely change of pace so far from familiar urban fantasy tropes.

If I like this one as much as I liked Book 1, Sarah MacLean will be joining my To Buy list!

Angela is reading Coldbrook
It's quite the change of mood to jump over to reading this after plowing through Mary Robinette Kowal's Glamourist Histories. Now I've got OH SHIT ZOMBIES!, and a breach between alternate universes as the vector by which to launch the zombie apocalypse. @whee!

Angela is reading Let It Be Me (The Blue Raven #5)
This is not actually a review remark--just me noting that WOO! Musician heroine! \0/ Who plays actual music on camera! And narrative going into musical terms that make actual correct sense and now I TOTALLY need to see if I can track down the Beethoven piece featured in this story. :D I <3 Kate Noble!

Reaction worth noting as I read some of this book tonight: the bit in Chapter 3 where Bronwyn takes the old mandolin out of its case and finds she can't think of what to play on it got me right in the heart. Aw honey!
