I don’t want to be told that she loves you and sees past your powerful magic, I WANT TO BE SHOWN THAT VIA YOUR INTERACTIONS. The plot felt too rushed. Anyway, what do I know…

I can’t get into this story. It has the cozy elements, but I care more about the side characters than the protagonists, whose romance isn’t fully developed, nor are they. I see the character debates being established through p.o.v’s of inner thoughts, but it’s not enough. It’s like “oh, I am so in love with this woman because she’s sees the ‘real me,’ not just the powerful magic.” Ok, but…

“Reunion” leaves you with some unanswered questions and moist eyes, but that’s ok. This was a little more expected of the genre, but still off putting since you weren’t so sure what kind of revenant you were in for.

“The Reawakening of the Wolf” is not the love story that you expect, but it is exactly what I needed to get this anthology’s exact vibe and take on “romance.”

“Wolf and the Woodsman” slapped hard. Who knew what a self sufficient independent person, Red Riding Hood’s Grandmother was?!
