In a world populated by AI-written books, something is amazing about an old book written by hand in the late 1800.

The author alternates PoV and it is very confusing because they are all written in first person and the prose sort of make it blend into the other PoV. This is awful. 😵 I am.expecting so much more from traditional pub.

Asher and Jor feel so forced. We haven't been around them long enough to feel for their impending separation.

I forgot I was reading this book.

There is an arranged marriage and she is predictably refusing it from the get-go. 😂 High born women in those all were brainwashed to accept this sort of arrangement. It's tiring to read the 1 million book with another woman in a medieval fantasy setup refusing to get married.

This was free on Kindle Unlimited and I just had to read it because others have raved about it. I doubt I would like it. 😵😂

This book failed to hold my attention or make me care for the characters. DnF sorry.

The author decided to give the title of High Prince to one of the main characters but she shortens it on the page to HP and all I read is Harry Potter. 😵😂

If the condescending a$$hole is the Male love interest I will DNF this book so hard. I am tired of the evil male love interest trope.

I am shocked. There is a nice guy in this book. But I am sure the MC is going to fall for the a$$hole for sure.

I can see this book has potential. However, the book is nptndoing a good job at establishing setting and time.

I skipped ahead and there is still no sign of the inciting incident that will move this story forward. Just a whole lot of gossip and debauchery.

Too much info dump and intro to the Male love interest 🙄 is not a very good one. Camila's intro is also very boring. I only feel annoyance.

So it is a bit boring in the beginning because there are no stakes and in the first few pages we get this long introspection to sort of info dump on the worldbuilding.

Thank goodness this book is written in third person. I am so tired of the 1st PoV that I automatically DNF any books that have it on the first page.

This book, while easy to read, is very dense and it does take its time setting up the plot.

In a mountain of AI slop and cardboard cutouts that pass for characters there stands Sanderson.

It's first person Pov. 😬😮‍💨 I'm going to try and get into the story but this writing format is a huge pet peeve for me.

I'm reading this because reviews say that past trauma and healing are very well done.

It looks like the author has improved on their writing. Here is hoping she has also improved on her storytelling.

In the era of AI generate slop that is not properly edited this book is liquid gold.

The minute Katniss is taken away from Gale's presence, she becomes a better character.

Sometimes when I read this book I kind of want President Snow to off Katniss and for Suzanne Collins to write Peeta as the protagonist. He was certainly more moral and kind.
