Ágætis bók að öðru leyti en því að höfundurinn hefur ekki látið konu lesa yfir þetta. Hvaða kona treður derhúfu ofan á blautt hárið á sér og klessir það niður? Annað: Flestar brúðir í Bandaríkjunum kaupa sér kjól marga mánuði fyrir brúðkaupið, því þeir eru flestir sérpantaðir, sér í lagi efnaðar brúðir eins og fyrsta fórnarlambið í sögunni. Þetta stuðar mig.

Hating it at the moment. There's nothing of what I loved from the first book. No humour, no banter, thrill, barely any gore or killings and the plot is there kind of just to be a frame around all the yearning and smut and frankly, corn, that's the whole book seems to be revolved around. There's not even a descent lovestory and the forbidden romance with a doctor is icky to me as a health worker and chronic patient.

I like the premise and the story is interesting, but the mood is so incredibly gloomy and depressing all the time. I mean, I get that authors are all about hurting their characters, but I mean, having every single thing that happens be bad is a little much. Also the pace is very slow and that doesn't help with this situation. I think I need an uplifting book to read alongside this one so I can get through it.

Gregory is a terrible love interest. Selfish, arrogant, lovesick puppy with no regard of anyones happiness, reputation or honor. He wants the woman he wants whether she says yes to him or not. He's willing to ruin her and kidnap her with no regard to the consequences to her. That's his whole personality.

I feel like Gregory has no personality and Kate lost hers and became just like any other meddling mamas.

I'm struggling more with this love triangle than Alizeh. I loved the romance with Kamran in the first book. I hated the development in the second book, since I hate love triangles, but fell for Cyrus too because that romance was so well done. Now in this book, Kamran is back and I'm wanting at least a little bit of a resolution other than just a quick brushing off. The "fix" was too "easy."

What the hell is this? Trash? A ton of clichés within a bunch of taboos to try to get a rise out of people? What is the point of this story? What is it for? It's so ridiculous, that I want to quit, but now there's so little left that I feel like I might as well finish this, but it's sooooo bad!

This started out hopeful, has turned out weird and now I'm waiting for this to turn around and become hopeful again. It's so triggering and revolting though, I'm really struggling to continue. I'm just afraid it's only going to be a sick, twisted sex fantasy of a disturbed individual and not something better.

I'm half-way into the book and it hasn't even started talking about what's in the book description. I had to come on here and refresh my memory on what it was about because it was so unclear. Nothing is happening and it still feels like the first few chapters, before the "real story" starts. I mean, it's not bad, uniteresting or boring, it's just disproportionally slow to start and I want things to get moving along.

I'm having great fun so far. It's witty, silly, hilarios. I was laughing out loud straight þfrom the first sentence. It's starting to get a little eery now too. Not scary yet though. Definitely the audiobook is the way to go.

It's a big book but it reads so quickly. I'm never bored, always curious, confused or questioning, the main characters are interesting, well crafted and are developing beautifully. So often in YA fantasy you can easily guess what the ending is going to be, but I have no idea. The characters are young, but it doesn't read juvenile, more New Adult. What a nice and welcome reprieve after reading A Portrait of a Thief!

Entertaining and interesting so far, but still some unbelievable stuff and incorrect anatomy that is jarring and pulling me out of the story. The character work is alright though.
