Literally Harry’s first reaction was “Let’s go rescue him!” You’re 15! You said yourself earlier it was luck you didn’t die last year! Am I too old for this?

I sure hope this is a happy little accident. This author better not have just plagiarized Jake Jagielski from One Tree Hill to star in a random bad boyfriend anecdote. Jake did not raise Jenny on his own and save Payton from cocaine to end up like THIS.

Boy, this sucks so far. Way too many awkward pauses and gasps and ellipses. It takes a thousand years to get through a dialogue scene

The book is absolutely ridiculous.

I’m mindblown that she actually didn’t know her mom was an abusive psychopath until she describes her mother’s behavior to her therapist and her therapist literally has to tell her, and then she almost falls apart from shock. What on earth?? This is so tragic

This is horrifying and so sad for this poor little kid. What exactly is wrong with her mother? She has so many problems, I don’t even know where to begin

This book is basically a giant tabloid article, but I feel like the author is trying to class it up by throwing in some SAT words. We just had “truculent” and that’s one of the more mild ones

As an Austinite, I feel the obligatory reaction anytime Austin and how great it is comes up in any form of media: Don’t move here. Traffic and housing is bad enough. I’m literally annoyed as a gut reaction with the MC going on about how great Austin is with the lake and the love music and the nice downtown and she’s gonna move there ASAP blah blah blah no stop
