Enjoying this a lot more than the last Jeff Wheeler series I read.

Why is it so hard for people to admit feelings to each other? Especially when the feelings are reciprocated? Just tell him you like him! The lack of communication paired with the third-act breakup is KILLING me. Like just be adults and talk about it please. *sigh*

This book is actually adorable so far. It’s silly but in a cute way that has me giggling. And so far there is zero spice, but I don’t trust that to be the case by the end..

So happy to be back with these characters.

This is excellent so far. The new POVs and EOs have me highly intrigued for what’s to come.

Lowkey this is kind of boring so far. It’s a shame because the synopsis sounded so promising.

I think floromancy is my new favorite type of magic.

I was craving something historical and this synopsis sounded exquisite. I am already hooked.

Enjoying this so far! I like Elise Kova’s writing a lot.

Cozy fantasy about an apothecary who can speak to plants researching a cure for a poison spreading through the city. I love reading about an apothecary main character! So far I’m really enjoying this.

deep sea tentacle horror

The main character is so bland if I’m being honest. She doesn’t use any agency and just lets the plot happen to her even when she hates what’s happening and it’s to her own detriment. She’s basically a doormat and lets people walk all over her, and I don’t like that. Even if it’s an honest portrayal of the type of character Kuang was going for, I still don’t want to read about her.

I’m surprised by how much I’m enjoying this book so far. Very cute and cozy. It kind of reminds me of The Spellshop.

I’ve read 5/14 stories so far, 2 of which were rereads. So far this collection is enjoyable but not outstanding. I’m excited to continue on and read some more new stories.

The longer I read this series, the more I like it.

I’ve been seeing this book everywhere and it sounds like something I’d enjoy, so I’m hopping on this bandwagon.

I think if you like the first book, and you liked the ending of the first book, then you will like this sequel.

I remember enjoying this book when I read it four years ago, but I don’t remember anything about it. Time for a reread so I can read the sequel and finally finish this duology.

I’m reading this for book club. I’ve never read an archeology romance before, but I’m honestly having a good time so far.

I’m not really enjoying this book… I feel like I have no idea why anything is important to the story. There is zero emotional attachment. I could read a huge reveal and not even care. But I’m not going to DNF it because I’m on the author’s ARC team and I’m reading it for review. This whole series is just sadly not vibing with me though.

I’m in the mood for a literary fiction. Saw this book sitting forgotten on my shelf and thought I’d give it a try.

I wish everyone were as kind and forgiving as the villagers on this island. The world would be a better place.

I’m impressed to see a a FMC correctly disarm a gunman, and then proceed to shoot him point blank in the face and kill him in a YA book. I feel like a lot of authors these days pull their punches, but not here.

This book is so cute and I really like it so far.

I ended up reading a lot while standing in line at an event tonight.
This series is fun but nothing special. I’m glad I’m reading it since I’ve owned it for nearly 15 years, and I’m enjoying it enough to finish it, but it’s not something I would reread.

I’ve been feeling like I should read some C.S. Lewis, and I think I need to take a break from fiction for a moment, so that’s how I got here.

I have been skipping every sex scene in this book because I don’t care to read them, and currently we are on #8, or maybe #9, I have lost count. Why are there so many? 1 or 2 would have been sufficient. 😵‍💫

I’m honestly just feeling meh about this series now. I liked the first two books alright but maybe I should have stopped after that. This duology isn’t bad, per se, but it just feels like generic romantasy, nothing new.

First 20-or-so percent was rough but it’s finally starting to get interesting.
