I read this as a middle schooler (at least an excerpt), but reading this through the eyes of an adult is different. It’s a hard but important read. Anne was undoubtedly smart and skilled at communicating her thoughts. I wonder what she could have accomplished had she lived.

This is a very intense but important book. I felt like in places, the author jumped around a bit, but overall, it was a good read.

This was a sweet, quirky book about family and about resolving unfinished business. This would be a great read-aloud book for a classroom. It’s also a not-so-scary ghost story. It’s a fun middle grade book that I think kids would love.

I liked this book. It’s a sweet, middle-grade novel that also explores heavier topics such as wrongful incarceration. I’d recommend this to 4tn - 6th graders especially.

This book was sweet, sad, hopeful and almost dreamlike. It is different from anything else I’ve read, and it was so worth my time.
