I’m reading this for the first time as an adult (not sure if I read it as a kid) to my seven year old daughter. So far it’s similar to what I remember of the movies but I kinda can’t wait to read it.

This book flows faster than the first..and has a lot more hormones lol. It really does make you realize how close death comes in wars, no matter the occasion. At this point I’m definitely sold on this series; there’s no way I’d be able to stop now!

Just finished the first book. I have to say that this poor girl has learned more before she even started school, what else does she need to learn?! Her and Marek had one of those instant connections that is interesting to see and was thankfully not all the book focused on. So far, so good.

In the book ‘Things Unseen’.. I didn’t care for it. Some interesting prospects that didn’t pan out, unrealistic love interest, and so far a war that makes no sense. Three stars is pushing it. For full review, read on my actual Goodreads page.

Up to this point I have read three completely different stories and not one of them have disappointed. It is so hard for me to keep going because every instinct that I have keeps me wanting to continue the stories that I have been introduced to, like I normally would. I’d like to think I’m getting better at fighting the urge. I’m so glad I finally started reading this!

This book is irritating the crap out of me. I swear.. this book is like reading the diary of a love-struck teenager with parts of... what happened to us? We have ‘cool’ superpowers! Yay! I try really hard to give all of the books I’ve read the benefit of the doubt but I’m about ready to return this one...

Ok.. I get character building and trying to create a bond between the characters but this is ridiculous! As of now there is nothing I this story besides the authors trying too hard with their characters. There is such a thing as overkill. And to think I was stupid enough to actually buy this book in paperback through Amazon.

I’m re-reading this book for the first time in a long while and I gotta say, right now it’s extremely annoying and I wonder how I got through this the first time. Airel is a spoiled rotten, self absorbed teenager. Period. Enter Michael and and she becomes a slobbering message. Yes, there is such a thing as instant attraction but at this point it is too exaggerated and not believable.

I'm having such a hard time reading this book! The characters are great, the storyline is great.. I just have a hard time with lovey-dovey romance. Even with Raine and Torin there was more than just 'oh the many ways I love you' type stuff. I absolutely love the Runes series but I'm a Raine fan..

Omg this girl is so oblivious it really is a wonder that she hasn't been caught yet or has any friends at all. She has one guy who gives a shit and another that is probably actively hunting her. So clueless it's almost irritating! And she's not even really hiding her intentions at all when she's doing all of her research... just..wow.

Now see! This is what irritates me about some books! So she's smart and tells her mom what's going on, mom drops a glass and that her mom tells her everything and she believes it. There's nothing but holding out on the reader and another book that read like a freaking diary. Uh!

I'll admit that I have almost been done reading this book for a few days and that I put it down because I know what's coming partially. One of the only advantages to seeing the movie first. So far.. The writing has been confusing but I think it was supposed to be in order to understand Henry-and Clare's life, separately and together.

Just finished the first chapter.. A really good beginning with enough confusion and intrigue to keep me guessing, and reading.

Getting ready to start chapter 10 and I could swear I've read this book before.. Even though as far as I know, I haven't. Very intriguing, as always. Seems like there is a battle of wills going in between two Shapeshifters, a Vampire is actually in a relationship with a Trieste (which is amazing in itself), and the vampire seems to have killed two of one of the Shapeshifters family members. Quite a lot in 88 pages
