The first book was so good! But this one has zero plot…. I am over half way and nothing has really happened.

The sister is something else wowzers…
1. try to set up Cora?!
2. “I thought after weeks of celibacy you would be craving intimacy”

The escape attempt! How frustrating.

Oomph that’s heavy…

Weston is the only character I care about… autumn & Connor drive me nuts.

Is it just me or is Connor’s character development lacklustre. Also, I’m not super in love with the female MC a bit too wallflower

Someone is going to get hurt 🥲 the tension ramp up between all the characters 👌. Except for Connor Drake… who seems dumber than a doorknob.

Misha found Ryen in the school at night very obviously spray painting. Meaning she is the “punk” the reason for it is she lost her penpal/outlet.

Library scene unfolds - results in Ryen basically leaving Misha saying she’s not interested.

Misha is sitting in the Ferris wheel after his car wash incident with Ryen & writing lyrics for the first time in ages. Dane shows up and let him know his dad is not doing well/depressed. He asks him to come home but he has one thing left to do. Plus he isn’t sure about what to do with Ryen.

Highlights to date:
- didn’t start out loving Misha. But he is growing on me. We still don’t know the 2 reasons he is at the school.
- we can assume his sister passed away from a health issue based on him describing her as “tired”. It’s also apparent that she passed away the night he met Ryen.
- Ryen has a double life

Wow. 😅 so I am loving this book.

I’m having a hard time getting into this book… why is it so highly rated.

Okay SURVEY time! Do you read the PROLOGUE of a book before starting the book?

Regardless of the answer tell me why?

Personally it depends. Sometimes the prologue makes for a slow start to the book, other times it is an absolute must! If I ever feel confused or lost in a book I sometimes ever go back to the prologue to read and see what I maybe missed.
