This is the third time I’ve read this book. I am always amazed by Anne Rice’s writing style and the deeper meaning of the book. It’s not really a book about vampires but musings about life itself and why to go on.

The precursor to Through a glass darkly, and very reminiscent of Gone with the wind. Loved it, very juicy, could not beleive how racy the book was for one published in 1944!

I could not finish this-just could not get involved with the characters
