However, I'd argue that "online" had very much become a real place by 2024 and this also assumes that the median voter has a stable political identity. However, the comparison of Trump to Warhol in regard to image-making is apt.

An intelligent demonstration of the reactionary element that can occur in misanthropy (an intellectual/aesthetic tendency that I am sympathetic to) as well as an inquiry into the limits of both constructed narratives and relativism. The protahonist is both repellent and intelligent (the latter exacerbating the former). Great book even if I am slow at reading it.
