I think the smartest thing Abby has ever done is compare herself to a fire hydrant: boring, rarely wet, glaringly a red flag but people ignore it. The fact that Jamie brought sexual assault into this is unsurprising but extremely disappointing. I am ready for this to be over. I hate it here.

i enjoyed this chapter more than the others because they were broken up. america is still worst best friend ever but at LEAST had a spine. so did shepley! and then of course they were taken away because jamie mcguire can’t let me have anything good in this life

I didn’t think this could get worse after the first ten chapters. I was wrong. this is misogyny burger with a sprinkle of hardcore abuse and racism. I hate jamie mcguire and would rather swallow raw urchins than ever read this book. If you like this book, I hate you. and hope you never procreate.

this is unbelievable. i wish i’d stopped reading after the last chapter. genuinely i can see how people can overlook Travis’s actions (although I don’t agree) up until this chapter. this is straight up abuse, and abuse that HURTS and SCARES the other people in abby’s life. unbelievably shitty writing paired with horrible characters and an ass story. i hate you jamie

this book loses me more every time I read it. there was a little part in there (maybe ~250) where I felt okay. but tullyandkate have BOTH lost me at this point, although I do sympathize more with Kate.

there are things just MISSING from this book. descriptors, details, a sense of time. things happen either too quickly or too slowly. I also totally forgot Kate had a brother (I feel like that’s important??)

almost 67%…. this might’ve been the chapter to make me DNF. absolutely ridiculous to an unforgivable level

I get she’s got her own issues, but i truly believe there’s such a disparity here that is SO BAD. I’m terrified to see where this will go. I truly want to believe in Kristin Hannah but this is getting dangerously bad, like cliche bad…

the second half of this book has crossed into territory that is so bad and terrifying that it makes me physically nauseous. this is one of the worst things i have consumed in my lifetime, and i have consumed SOME SHIT. travis is the worst book boyfriend EVER.

This is the most unbelievable evil burger I have ever eaten. Everyone wants Abby dead, including herself. Do not get me started on how hot flaming garbage this is. The best ending is the one where EVERYONE dies.

Tully is losing me more and more every chapter. Justice for my girl Kate, nobody is looking out for your best interests and you need to find better friends!!!! And STAND UP MY GIRL. WTF.

I’m disappointed that Chad sort of blurred into the background, I get why, but I wish more of Tully’s chapter would’ve at least mentioned how their relationship continued. Cuz it sounds like it was years?? That’s important!

I knew that guy was bad news from the description of his eyes. Please don’t make me hate either of these characters, pls pls pls pls. Katie deserves better
