Ugh so far.

So far??? Ugh.

I am just reading the words. I have not found a character I like and the story just doesn't have any thread of being believable for me. Disappointed. Hoping it gets better.

I am only on page 68 and I have laughed through half of those pages. I needed this after several dark, heavy books in a row. Don't know I missed this Crusie book but so glad I am reading it now!

Oh, dear. The last two Frank books were disappointing...I may not even get through this one.

I thought I would just flip through this book and read a few of the personal stories of the survivors of Schindler's List. Not so. I cannot put this well-written, touching book down.

I must be the last person who hasn't read this. I love it so far, but it is so very painful to read more than one chapter at a time. The storytelling is brilliant.

I'm struggling with this one so will be taking a break from it. I want to give it a fair chance.

Ok. I hate to admit this, but I had to return the book to the library when I was only half-way through. It is lengthy and in small print and as the holidays approached I had less time to read. I so badly wanted to renew the book, but someone else had a hold on it (HOW RUDE :) ) and I had to return it...but I have it on hold again because I do want to finish it.

I am as determined to finish this hefty book as Julia was to learn to cook. She was an interesting lady!

The number of pages to read is daunting but I really want to get through this. I am at a rather "dry" place as the author takes us through Julia's time served in OSS but she is finally on her way to finding love!

After Kiss River I wanted a fun read. This one fits the bill. Husband doesn't understand why I am laughing out loud and ignoring him.

I rarely comment on books until I am finished, but this one is touching my heart. It is open, honest, and thought-provoking and brings to light the many ways our families in need, especially the children, fall through the cracks.

I knew I wanted to read this because I love Mapson's books. What I didn't know was that it is a continuation of Solomon's Oak. All the better.

So much going on, I don't know if I can keep it all straight!

A young adult fiction about a teen boy struggling through puberty.

A pae-turner, for sure.

I never met a Trigiani book I didn't like.

This is a very different kind of book from Wiener and at times it seems tedious reading.

This book is going to take some concentration to read!

Hilderbrand's style reminds me of Jodi Picoult's books. I was pulled in right at the beginning and can't put this book down.

I'm struggling with this one. I enjoy inspirational books and Christian Chick Lit books, but I'm losing the plot with all the "hints" on how to be a Christian.

A young woman,abandoned as an infant, discovers a painting of her mother and begins the quest to learn all that she can about the woman who gave birth to her as well as to learn all that she can about herself.

A Young Adult book about two best friends who want to be the best...one a tennis player, the other a ballerina.

This book is longer because it is loaded on the Nook. Lizzy has just irritated her mother by refusing the proposal of self-absorbed, pompous Mr. Collins.

I don't know this author but I am looking forward to reading this book about a 30 year old "spinster" living in Tennessee in the 1950's.
