it’s getting better now that there’s some real drama, still think fayre caved too quickly but i’m willing to look past it

not bad, i like the display of OCD and the paranoia that comes with mental illness

i don’t love the writing and fayre is a little too on the nose for my liking but i enjoy the world building

I LOVE THIS SERIES

hardest read for sure, but i’m interested in Heathcliff. he’s rather gruff but still polite? i’m intrigued to say the least

THE PUPPIES im heart broken

the chapter break up is a little odd but nothing that bothers me too much. the dream sequence was very cool

it makes my stomach churn the way they talk about people, which means the author did a fantastic job

it’s getting much easier to read the first person narrative and i’m finding myself getting quite invested rather quickly

i don’t love a first person narrator but i’m willing to work with it. i really like monique and im excited to see her character develop

THE ROACH??????? god i wanted to vomit, also fuck slick, and i was right, kitty and mrs greene are still my favorite

I HATE CARTER AND HORSE AND LELAND AND BENNET, GOD. also the pacing feels a bit off but i’m still really liking it, and when james called to tell them blue was at his house?? i wanted to vomit

short update: I HATE MEN

so i almost hated all the girls in book club, but they’ve redeemed themselves. slick is crazy though. and grace kinda pisses me off, but i’m enjoying it throughly and find it hard to put down

i’m a little dissatisfied with how quickly patricia becomes suspicious of james, i had thought their relationship would develop a little more. kitty is still my favorite, next to mrs greene. the rat scene?? genuinely gave me chills

a little hard to get into at the beginning but i’m starting to really like the writing style and Kitty might be my favorite character so far

THE SCENE WITH THE FALCONER……..gorgeous but i NEED to know what locke’s real name is

the grey king and the sisters being siblings was perfect! i do wish they would’ve ended Barsavi a bit more gruesomely but overall y not bad

although i find the world building a bit boring, i adore the dialogue and the interactions of the gentlemen bastards. truly a wonderful read so far!
