The introduction of this book posits that War, Real War is back…….. because of Russia/Ukraine. Then asks the question: war never really left it’s just mostly been proxy wars so why does this feel different? My guess is Europeans are racist so watching white people get murdered in War means it’s a Real War, but let’s see if it gets any deeper than that.

This book is crazy because I could be writing it this week and both the humor and the geopolitical analysis would be exactly the same. I understand why she almost killed herself when no one would publish it 20 years ago

I watched Black Bag the other day in which Michael Fassbender gives some great monologues and I’m finding that creeping in to my internal reading voice for this and it’s really working
