I don't understand the low rating, I mean this is obviously extreme horror/splatterpunk full of disgusting bits, literally. It's good at what it's doing, and it's well written as well, which I definitely didn't expect going into it. You can actually sympathise with Steven too, at least up to where I'm at

This has been entertaining but pretty surface level because of how emotionally distant the MC is. Despite finding the jokes funny, I'm having a hard time progressing with this book.

Goddamn I should read more historical fiction, this book is great. I think people are falsely categorising it as a horror novel. Sure, what's happening here without the ghost thing is horrifying enough, but this is just.. a tragic literary novel showing how bad racism was, or rather, has always been

Kezdek drukkolni Teddynek, go Teddy!

Közben hallgatom az audibookot, 19%-nál járok abban. Olyan fura, hogy eddig az összes King, ami nagyon tetszett, magyar fordítás volt. Sokkal líraibbá teszi az amúgy nagyon jó történeteit, színezi a karaktereit.

Eredetiben elég szegényes a nyelvezete :/

Nem tudom eldönteni, hogy ez a Teddy direkt ennyire elviselhetetlen, vagy a szerző ilyen cringe. Alpha malenek nevezte a főszereplőt és persze hogy mindent is kurva jól tud az ember, kicsit sem egy idealizált self insert, de közben meg mutatja, mennyire erőszakos tud lenni seemingly for no reason

That was better written than any other kissing scene I've read y'all. I'm not spoiling the exact percentage it happened at cause everyone needs to read this book (fans of gothic stuff and gay people)
