Daisy said she hoped her daughter would be a beautiful little fools, but maybe she came to realize that this was only the way the men saw them, and not reality. Through that lens, Gatsby is reimagined, and it’s mesmerizing.

Even though I usually don’t like McFadden, this one kept me riveted. Even the unbelievable parts are just a little believable. It’s a delightful read if you’ve ever dreamed of vengeance.

As far as fake dating YA novels go, this one is pretty good. It has its trite and annoying moments, but the characters also have unique voice and the story line has some unique points too.
