A nice book so far. Bite-sized chapters provid lots of concise and illustrative examples on rhetorical terms. Just what I needed.

Has been reading this volume for several years. I like Frost so far, though sometimes he's too complex for me.

Not enough Christopher Robin. Currently it looks just like an abridged autobiography of A.A. Milne - too much minutiae, too little relationship with C.R. I'm pushing on, since I love reading about Pooh, but my motivation is waning.

A nice book - selected poems interspersed with comments. The quality of comments may vary, but all of them are quite personal. So far: Hardy - meh, Housman - predictably nice, but not the poems I like, Betjeman - surprisingly bearable and interesting.

It breaks the common narrative of WWI as the war of reluctant and weary people. Lots of patriotic poetry, slice-of-life poems and pro-war\anti-war discussions. Quite refreshing.

So far so good. The book takes an all-encompassing approach to the topics of the war - aside from the war (broken into many parts) itself there are poems about the life at home, behind the lines etc. The poems are categorized by these topics which makes reading very convenient if you are interested in only one of the part of WWI.
