I’m soooo in love with the tropes in Long Story Short. It was SOOO fun to write a book where she’s a romance author needing some inspiration and he’s more than willing to help her out. 😏 TWO MORE WEEKS!

I know I shouldn’t kiss my best friend, but I can’t think of anything else. I’m not thinking of the consequences. I’m not thinking about what happens after we kiss. All I’m thinking about is the desperate sound she let out and the hungry way she was staring at my lips.

We flirted because it was fun, but it was clear we both knew we wouldn’t be more than friends. And then…we kissed, and everything changed.

"I love to make her blush. Sometimes making her blush is the only way I can tell if I have some sort of effect on her."

My favorite part of writing a single dad?
Seeing Jude truly become a Dad. The vulnerability and the stepping into this foreign unfamiliar role without a clue of what to do. It is a terrifying and emotional journey for Jude but writing his story and how he never once thought about giving up on his baby girl was everything.

"I realize that for the first time in a long time, the memories of her aren’t so bittersweet."

What is my favorite thing about this couple?

THE TENSION!!!! This might be the best tension I’ve ever written and I can’t wait to share this story with you!
