What a welcome palate cleanser from Asimov, compared to the last work of his that I read (Murder at the ABA)! I am loving the style, the jumping back and forth in flashbacks and foreshadowing, and the way that it almost feels like a history of science style of writing.

id really like to learn how to end my experiments, so might as well study how other experiments end first...

My goodness it's been a minute since I had a moment to read. Pratchett is brilliant as always.

Third time was, indeed, the charm.

I wish the story ended right here, because there is no way that the ending is anywhere approaching happy.

Levinson seems just incredibly anti-union! A bit of a slog so far, but thankfully reasonably concise.

Not since My Year of Rest and Relaxation have I found a book so challenging to read. The inner cringe is off the charts. Vaguely reminds me of DFW's "The Depressed Person"

Geez that is a bleak and dark opening story.

Immensely gripping and readable.

I didn't realize that Card got the term "Ansible" from this book!

The closer I get to the center of the book, the harder it is to stop.
